The ACCE(I) Mysore Centre is pleased to host RACE, a national seminar that has been organized biennially since 2017. This two-day seminar aims to provide a platform for the civil engineering community in the region to explore recent innovations and technological advancements in the field. Esteemed resource persons from both industry and academia share their valuable insights and expertise with participants in the event. The inaugural seminar RACE 17, focused on the theme ‘Trendsetting Structures’, was held in January 2017. Subsequently, the Centre organised RACE 19 on ‘Engineering the Infra’ in January 2019, RACE 21 on ‘Transportation Infra’ in April 2021 and RACE 23 on ‘Innovative Infra in Civil Engineering’ in February 2023. We are delighted to announce that the fifth seminar, RACE 25 on ‘Digital Transformation in Civil Engineering’, is scheduled for January 2025.
About RACE 25 on ‘Digital Transformation in Civil Engineering’:
The civil engineering industry is witnessing a paradigm shift with the advent of digital technologies that are revolutionizing the way projects are designed, executed, and managed. The integration of cutting-edge tools such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), drones, robotics, and data analytics is enabling engineers to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability across infrastructure projects. Digital transformation is not only enhancing construction quality and safety but also reducing project timelines and costs. RACE 25 will focus on the latest trends, innovations, and challenges in this exciting transition, providing insights through expert discussions and case studies in various domains of civil engineering.
